Product Description
The 26 letters found in this rhythmic and engaging children's book are a unique lowercase alphabet, "A" said to "B", "B" to "C", "I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree" which seemed like a good idea until the other 23 gang members decided to follow suit. The dense illustrations drawn by Lois Ehlert show the tall, straight green palm tree on the first page, but it begins to groan and bend under the weight of the alphabet. First, coconuts fall, then ("Chicka Chicka... BOOM! BOOM!") all the letters also end up in a big pile below. The very simple board book version stops at this point, but this original text continues to lend a helping hand to the 26 big letters "Mamas and Papas and Uncles and Aunts."
